How does it all work?

  • First, you click 'Sign Up' to go to our secure area and sign up to become a Member of Secret Garden Farms, Inc. (SGFF).
  • Second, you select the size of Fresh Pak container you would like to receive each week together with any special items and then place your order. Each week your credit card will be automatically processed for the items you have selected.  You may view your purchases at any time, by logging in to the member's area and selecting 'History', then 'View' invoice.  This will show the Pak you purchased together with any special items that you selected.
  • Print out your invoice and take it to your pickup point. It includes your detailed order with a map to your pickup point.
  • All purchases or changes to future orders must be made online through the members' area by 8:30 am on Monday for deliveries that week.

*No money or other form of payment will be accepted at the delivery sites. If your online order comes in after the cut off time, it will be available the following week at your designated pickup point.


What is the 100% satisfaction guarantee?


It is our gold bond guarantee that we will replace, free of charge, any unacceptable items. Just "Contact Us" via email and explain the problem or concern and we will make sure you get additional replacement product at the following weeks delivery.


What is the Fresh Pak container deposit?


When you initially sign up to become a member you will be charged $19.50 as a one time deposit on the reusable Fresh Pak container
Each time you pick up your new delivery of produce, you will return the empty container from the previous week.The Fresh Pak container is designed so it can be folded up flat for easy storage & return.  If you terminate your membership with SGFF and return the Fresh Pak container, we will promptly issue you a refund.


How and when will I be charged?


The charge for your produce, and any special items that you have purchased, will automatically be charged at 9:00 am
every Monday for deliveries that week.

 

Will I be sent an Invoice?

Not automatically.Your invoice is available any time from the members area showing the Pak you selected
and a list of any special items you have purchased with that order.The invoice will show the total amount charged to your credit/debit card and it will include the delivery date and location.  To view your invoice, log in to the member's area, select 'History', then select 'View' for the appropriate invoice.


What is in the Fresh Pak container?
  

A representative sample of some, but not all, of the products that may be in your container during the 2010 summer harvest season is listed on the Products page. Our photo Gallery also shows a representative sample of the type of products you can expect to receive. The Standard Pak is designed for a family of 2-3; the Family Pak is designed for a family of 4-6. We try and design each weeks Fresh Pak so you receive an assortment of at least 6 - 8 different varieties of fruits and 6-8 different varieties of veggies.


Surprise Me?

The actual products you receive each week depend on the season, availability, and what is the freshest, ripe and ready to eat produce we can find when we hand pack your container for that weeks delivery.


Can I choose what goes in my Fresh Pak container?

No. You can choose the size of container you would like to purchase but the individual products are selected for you based on what is the freshest seasonally available produce that week. We only pack what is ripe and ready to eat and we always deliver it to you fresh, clean and cold.

 

Can I customize my delivery schedule so it best fits me?


Absolutely. How often you receive a delivery is completely up to you. Members have the ability to custom design their own individual delivery schedules by setting any delivery pattern and also vacation stops months in advance.  You have until Monday morning at 8:30 am prior to your next scheduled delivery to change your deliveries. Just select 'Vacation Weeks', then click on the 'Do Not Deliver' button from the member's area to make your change or design your delivery schedule.


Can I change my order?


Yes.You can change your order anytime up until Monday 8:30 am on the day your charges are posted for your next scheduled delivery that week.


How do I change my order?

It`s easy.You can make changes two (2) different ways. First, you can change the type or quantity of containers/paks you want to receive by going to "Fresh Paks" and making your changes and then clicking on the "update quantity" button. Your new order will update your shopping basket and all items will be displayed by item, quantity and total dollar amount as "Your Next Order".

Second, you can change the type or quantity of special items you want to receive by going to "Special Items" and making your changes and then clicking on the "update quantity" button. Your new order will update your shopping basket and all items will be displayed by item, quantity and total dollar amount as "Your Next Order".


How do I terminate my membership in Secret Garden Family Farms?

You may terminate your membership in SGFF by going to your "Profile" in the Member area and clicking on the red link that says you want to unsubscribe.


Can I order just special items?


No. Special items are available only on those weeks you are receiving a
Fresh Pak container of produce.


What happens if I don't pick up my Fresh Pak container?


Containers and any special items not picked up at the scheduled delivery time  will be donated to the Foster Families of Kern County or another charitable use.



Can I have someone else pick up my order?


Yes. You are welcome to have someone else pick up your order. If you do so it is important that you have provided that individual information on what you have ordered. Each Monday after your charges are posted, you can visit the Website and print out your invoice detailing what you have ordered and paid for. It will be very helpful if the person picking up your order has a copy of that invoice with them.
 

Can I pay at the delivery site?


No. We cannot accept any form of payment at the delivery site. All payments must be made in advance, online via credit/debit card on our secure Website.Visa, Master Card and Debit Cards are all accepted. We do not accept American Express.


Where do the fruits and veggies come from?


The fruits and veggies come from local growers and our own family farm whenever possible. Depending on the season and the products, we will include produce from other areas or regions. Our world famous pineapple comes from the island of Maui, Hawaii and is hand picked ripe 365 days a year! Our spectacular artichokes are grown in Castroville. We strive to bring you the best produce direct from a small family of premier growers so the products you get are fresher than anything you could ever find in the local grocery stores.

Where are the fruits and vegetables packed?

The produce is hand packed at Fresh Pak,Trino Packing & Cold Storage which is a local PrimusLabs™ certified cold storage facility located at 818 South Derby Street, Arvin, CA 93203. The hallmark of Fresh Pak is that all products hand packed for you are "Fresh,Clean & Cold". The packing facilities are immaculate. Cleanliness, food safety, fresh products, quality packing and presentation are our top priorities.    

How do I see and purchase special items?


If you are a visitor to the site you can view the list of special items available, and their price, by selecting 'Products' from the menu. If you are a member you can view and purchase specials by going to 'Special Items' and select the type and quantity you would like to purchase.
Then click on the 'Update quantity' button. Your new order will update your shopping basket and all items will be displayed by item, quantity and total dollar amount as your next order.
